Customer Garment Steamer Reviews
t fal ultraglide,
That’s where the t fal came into my life.
It was on sale, which is a plus in a time where you get laid off for using blue ink instead of black on the cover sheet for your TPS report. And it was purple, which happens to be my favorite color. As a dim-witted woman, the kind as seen on TV in car commercials getting turned on by their SUV, these were the only features of note. I did not pay attention to the features like a vertical steam valve that allows me to steam my own dry cleanables into shape between cleanings. I did not pay attention to the fact that it was once a Consumer Reports best buy. I did not go to Target, Kohl’s, and Bed Bath and Beyond and compare it to other similar models and find it to be economic as well as functional with solid ratings — the best out of other irons in it’s price range including Rowenta.
No, it was color and “Sale!” tag that sold me.
And oh, did it make a believer out of me. Almost instantly, I was transformed by its comfort and ease of use, the way that I was able to easily fill the tank right out of my brita pitcher because the opening is easy to locate and large enough to actually put water in with something bigger than an eyedropper. I was able to use this to hem curtains, cuff pants, and of course, get rid of wrinkles — and all without a burn to myself or my delicate cotton shirts!
Great color, great price. Overall a great iron!,
I’m a long-time user of t fal fryer but only kitchen appliances. I’d never tried a t fal iron as I usually get a Black & Decker on sale at KMart whenever my ultraglide irons start to leak or just burn out. I was a bit skeptical about the brand because I’ve had horrible experiences with irons and have used most every brand under the sun. Not gonna lie, what attracted me to this lil gem from the first was the color; purple’s my fave. And I figured at under 30 bucks, how much worse could it be than the $99 Rowenta that broke down on me and scorched my favorite white blouse? I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only is the steam power from this iron fantastic (even on the lowest setting), but the non-stick surface glides over clothes with ease, even on the most delicate of fabrics; I tested it out on my favorite emerald green silk tank top and it survived, which it never would have done with my Rowenta. Best of all, the reservoir is really deep, almost the length of the entire iron, so you can fill it up once and have enough to do an entire load of laundry and then some. I really am amazed that such a fantastic iron is being offered at such a low price. It’s an incredible value, a darling shade of lilac and makes ironing even for those who hate it, like myself, a snap.
