How to Home Commercial Garment Steamer Work?

I found this home garment steamer at a local big box store and bought it because the price was right and the store has a great return policy. I needed to get out the wrinkles from silk and rayon clothes as I am not a good ironer.

Shortfalls: as stated by other reviewers -

1) the pole should extend few feet higher. I usually sit on the floor to steam the bottom of pants and dresses

2) the electrical cord isn’t very long so I use an extension cord

3) the hose isn’t long enough if you want to steam anything much higher than the top of the pole. I have to pick up the commercial garment steamer so the hose can reach the top of my drapes.

Now for the advantages. The home touch steamer holds enough water so you can steam for quite a while without refilling. The water heats quickly so there’s very litle lag time.

I haven’t had any problems getting the wrinkles out of rayon, silk and cotten clothes. T-shirts look great after a quick steam!
By adding an old sock over the home garment steamer head (take off the brush), I successfully steam-cleaned my screens and large windows. Again, I had to pick up the steaming clothes steamer to reach the high spots.

In the kitchen, the home touch steamer worked successfully to soften baked-on grease from inside my oven door and also on cookie sheets. I also steamed my cutting board after reading about the germs than can hide after washing.

My commercial garment steamer gets used a lot more than my iron ever did! I have recommended this home touch steamer to several friends.
